Sakura-Con
What makes this work special for Sakura-Con is the fact that it has been only shown to the production staff at a staff screening, never before officially released in Japan. This will be its world premiere showing exclusively at Sakura-Con!
FMA Director Yasuhiro Irie (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) created this short, 15-min. video in 3DCG with Studio Bones back in 2007. Shinjuku Satomi Hakkenden (SATOMI – Shinjuku War of the 8 Warriors) is about eight swordsmen, a motif taken from Nanso Satomi Hakkenden (written by Takizawa Bakin in Edo period). This short is just the prologue of a longer story, depicting the struggle of the main character Satomi as she fights to avenge her brother.
