The Floral Court Invitational: A Sakura-Con Nerd Prom

proudly presents the Floral Court Invitational, an exclusive Nerd Prom event designed for
those who dance to the beat of their own heart.
Step into a night of sophisticated celebration, where the vibrant spirit of anime and manga
meets the timeless grace of a formal ball. Adorn your finest attire—whether it’s a stunning
gown, a sharp suit, or the impeccably formal wear of your favorite character. This is your
chance to shine, mingle with fellow enthusiasts, and create unforgettable memories under a
canopy of cherry blossoms.
Be Crowned a Sakura Flower Messenger! The highlight of the evening is our prestigious
Sakura Flower Messenger Contest. Aspiring envoys of elegance will showcase their
unique style, grace, and passion for the Sakura-Con spirit. Judges will be seeking
individuals who embody charm, poise, and a profound appreciation for our community. The
chosen Flower Messengers will hold a place of honor, representing the beauty and
camaraderie of Sakura-Con.
Indulge in an enchanting atmosphere, enjoy delightful music, and take to the dance floor as
we celebrate our shared love for all things anime, manga, and Japanese culture.
Join us for the Floral Court Invitational – where every dance is a story, and every
attendee is part of a grand tradition!
Rules for Sakura Flower Messenger contest:
Contestants will be prejudged to minimize pool (Between 10-20).
Within the first hour of the contest participants will scan a QR code to see who they are able to
vote for flower messenger.
Top 5 will receive the award title “Sakura Flower Messenger”
To qualify for the “Sakura Flower Messenger Contest” contestant must have a cosplay that fits
the following theme:
Fae, Forest whimsical, High fantasy,
Cosplay must be in “Formal attire”
Formal attire is identified as such:
Masculine Attire Examples:
● Suit
● Suit jacket (optional)
● Vest (optional)
● Dress shirt
● Slacks
● Leather-based dress shoes
● Loafers, oxfords, wingtips, boots
Feminine Attire Examples:
● Dress
● Cocktail-style dress no shorter than “finger-tip” length
● A little black dress
● Long dress skirt & top
● Suit
● Dress shoes
● Flats, heels, boots
Cultural Attire Examples:
● Kimono
● Hanbok
● Cheongsam/qipao or Cheongshan
● Kilts
No intentional rips or tears (IE jeans with holes, shirts with holes, etc)
No jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, flip flops, denim.
