Sakura-Con
Aki (akivi.cos) is a Seattle-based Masters-level cosplayer specializing in advanced prop fabrication, 3D modeling, and the integration of digital and traditional craft techniques. In December 2025, Aki was selected with their cosplay partner as an International Duo Delegate at Holiday Matsuri, earning the opportunity to represent internationally in Spain at Manga Barcelona 2026. Aki is known for combining CAD modeling, 3D printing, casting, structural engineering, and detailed finishing techniques with textile construction, embroidery, and shoemaking. A former recipient of Best in Show at Sakura-Con, Aki values clean construction, thoughtful material choices, durability, and craftsmanship that holds up both on stage and in close inspection. As a judge, Aki looks forward to celebrating strong foundations, creative problem-solving, and intentional design decisions, and is excited to see, support, and cheer on their local community from the other side of the judging table!
