Mana is a living legend of Japanese music and a cornerstone of the original gothic lolita and visual kei movements.
His band MALICE MIZER was formed in 1992 and had their major debut in 1997 on Nippon Columbia records.
In 1999, Mana produced his original brand and store, Moi-même-Moitié.
After MALICE MIZER’s disbandment in 2001, Mana created his current project Moi dix Mois in 2002. Moi dix Mois appeared at Sakura-Con in 2012 and also celebrated their 15th anniversary this past December.

Moi-même-Moitié
Moi-même-Moitié is a brand created in 1999 by MALICE MIZER and Moi dix Mois guitarist Mana.
The brand name consists of the French words Moi- me, même- self and Moitié- half. With the meaning of “One’s alter ego as well as one’s self,” the term was coined by founder Mana.
Moi-même-Moitié is one of the few Japanese Lolita fashion brands that focuses on an androgynous aesthetic. The brand offers Elegant Gothic Lolita and Elegant Gothic Aristocrat fashion to all persons seeking beauty.
