Sakura-Con will be hosting a cosplay contest at 3PM at Japan Fair. Show off your latest creation and/or try your chance at winning a complimentary membership for you and a friend for Sakura-Con 2020. (To enter the contest sign up at the Sakura-Con Japan Fair booth by 2PM on Sunday June 30th.)

The Scavenger Hunt returns again for 2019, and this time the stakes are even higher.
The story begins at Opening Ceremonies (attendance is not required, don’t worry—a summary will be provided after), and then after 10AM on Friday go to www.sakuraquest.org/play and follow the clues around con to solve the mystery and get an exclusive mascot pin!
Read More »This is the attendee’s rare chance to meet up close with the Guests of Honor. You’ll be able to ask Guests questions in a more personal environment while enjoying a buffet style meal being provided by the hotel. Not only can you ask your favorite Guest of Honor questions about his/her work, but possibly get an autograph from them “after” everyone has eaten. This is a must not miss event that you can get in only by purchasing a special invitation! Reservations are extremely limited, and available through the Guest Reception page.

Read More »This is a multiple-choice, open-book, take-home quiz that begins on the Sakura-con site three weeks before the convention.
You can look up anything you want to get the answer. The questions are so hard that you probably will not know any of the answers from memory. Instead, you will need to do research into the real world of such topics as art, geography, history, literature, music, and science. Hopefully, this will give you a better appreciation of what goes on in anime and some of the hidden meanings behind the material.
Come one come all as night falls and the stars come out to play. And so do those steeped in night. The magic and the mystery that night brings causes those to dress in their finest wear and dance away.
