Guest Announcement: Hisayuki Tabata

Hisayuki Tabata started his career as an animator in Tokyo. A twenty year veteran of the industry, Mr. Tabata has worked on many well-known projects over the years.  He has contributed to Godannar (2004), Code Geass (2008), Accel World (2012), and Weathering with You (2019). He has served as an Animation director on GunxSword, Accel World, Code Geass R2, and many others.

He is best known for his character designs in Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, Qualidea Code, and Yuyushiki. Recently, he has been working on illustrations in addition to his animation work.He also provided character design and directed the Canadian promotional video, Attakai, Fuyu Canada. (Warm, Winter Canada). Currently, he is working on a new animation project.When he isn’t working hard, he enjoys traveling and finding good wine to drink.Mr. Tabata is excited to be back in the United States for Sakura Con 2022 and hopes to see everyone at his panels, autograph sessions and at his booth.

Hiring for Artist Alley

Hello, we are currently recruiting volunteers for the Artist Alley at Sakura-Con 2022! Please come help manage the artist alley area during con days to assist both the artists and attendees who come to Artist Alley.
Volunteer Requirements:

  • Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, no exceptions.
  • Must be available for their designated shifts for a total of 16 hours, times ranging from Thursday to Sunday on the week of the convention.
  • Be able to be on your feet for your whole shift if needed. You will also be required to walk around and help artists.
  • Ability to work well with others and possess enough communication skills to help artists and attendees.
  • 21 years of age or older is preferred, but must be at least 18 years of age.

Tara Jayne Sands can be heard as over 50 characters in the original English Pokemon tv series including Bulbasaur, Richie, Jasmine, Oddish, and Tori. Some other roles include Biscuit in HunterXHunter, Mokuba in Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kari in Digimon Adventure Tri, Anna in Shaman King, Curious in My Hero Academia,  Momo and Utahime in Jujutsu Kaisen, Kombu Infinity in One Punch Man, Circe in Generator Rex, Young Jin in Anohana, Kippie in Glitter Force, Filia in Slayers, Summer in Barbie: Life in The Dreamhouse, Death 13/Mannish Boy in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Namida in Boruto, Sonia in Fire Emblem and lots more.
