Artist Alley is now accepting applications for Sakura-Con 2018! Don’t worry, you don’t have to rush because our AA is no longer “first come, first served” (please see our FAQ). The application deadline is by Midnight on  December 8th, 2017.

Team Sakura invites everyone to Japan Fair 2017!  Japan Fair is free to the public and offers free parking. It will be on July 8th and 9th at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue WA! Visit their website, www.japanfairus.org for full details!

If you’d like to participate in our section of the Chinatown Seafair Parade (aka the Cosplay parade!) please follow these instructions: Date: July 23rd, 6-6:30pm line up. Objective: To show Seattle what Sakura-Con cosplay is all about!! Where: Meet at approximately King Street and 8th Avenue. * We do not know our exact placement until we check in–usually they place us in section “c”. You may need to ask where Sakura-Con’s section is with the parade organizers.

Presenting the ANCEA/Sakura-Con Member Newsletter 2017 Pre-Convention Edition!

As you explore everything the expanded Sakura-Con has to offer this year, keep an eye out for the QR codes that have been hidden throughout the con. Starting Friday morning, scan one to begin the hunt and receive clues to their locations. Follow the clues and find all of them and you’ll win an exclusive 20th anniversary mascot pin! If you need a QR code reader for your device, visit www.sakurahunt.org for links and for the official rules. If you don’t have a smartphone, stop by the Info Booth for a paper entry form.

Yasuhiro Irie, known as the FMA Brotherhood director, is seeking 10 models for his live drawing panel on Saturday, 4/15/17 in the 6C Panels room from 11am to 1 pm. The models would be drawn and animated in a 30 second animated clip for anime production demonstration purposes only. Irie-san will animate the models with the original characters from his latest Kickstarter project “Halloween Pajama”, so don’t miss out this exclusive rare opportunity to be animated.
