Christopher Louck

Hello!

Good day,

My name is Christopher Louck and I am running for Sakura-Con Convention Chairman. I felt like it was important to write to you all who might not have worked with me directly so you could know some things about me.

I have been with the convention for many years. The majority of my time as a volunteer has been at the executive level, but I have experience working in Programming, Relations, Operations, Membership, and Publicity. I also have experience working different officer positions for the Sakura-Con and A.N.C.E.A. board.

My formal training is in teaching. I have been a teacher in Washington since 2001. My most recent degree was a Masters of Educational Administration with a focus on School Leadership. I often use my experience from teaching towards my work as Convention Chairman. I am accustomed to running meetings, peer mediation, prompt and clear email communication, group management, and project planning.

The most important thing I would want people to know about me is that I want to support the staff and attendees the best I can. I consider the Chairman position to be one that serves the members of A.N.C.E.A. and Sakura-Con. My goal is to help the staff do their best and to be there when they need me. I hope to keep working for you and look forward to answering any questions you might have. Thank you for all you do and thank you for being a part of Sakura-Con.
