Registration FAQ

Refund Policy

Sakura-Con Memberships are NOT transferable and NOT refundable.

Membership Confirmations and Receipts

We no longer send any email confirmations due to past technical problems. After 72 hours (PayPal transactions only) please check the status of your Membership using our Membership Confirmation Page. (Please note: if the Membership Confirmation Page is not showing that you are registered, and you think you already have purchased a Membership, please email Registration BEFORE purchasing a second membership.) If you have purchased a membership and mailed in your payment, please wait at least 30 days to be verified in our system. If you are concerned about your mail-in registration, please email Registration for further information.

You do not need a confirmation to pick up your membership badge, just government issued photo ID. Keep your proof of purchase if you are worried about a backup (cancelled check, PayPal receipt).

Military Discounts

Military, both Active and Veteran – and their dependents, are eligible for a $5 off discount to their Sakura-Con membership, with provided military ID. There is an option to select Military in the Membership Registration section. Please select this option and bring your Military ID to Registration with you when you pick up your badge at the convention.

Group Discounts

Group Discounts are not currently available, except for Educational Groups, and restrictions apply. For more information, please visit the Educational Group Application page.

A Note about Memberships

We don’t sell “admissions”, “tickets” or “badges”. We are a nonprofit, 100% volunteer run (not even board members are paid), members only organization. Our event is members only. When you purchase your membership you become part of the Asia-Northwest Cultural Education Association, and join us in supporting our State and Federal 501c3 nonprofit mission to educate and celebrate Asian culture through popular media and arts! Attending the event is a primary benefit of becoming a member, however, it’s not all.

In addition to attending Sakura-Con, your membership comes with other benefits and an ongoing invitation to be involved in our mission. Other benefits examples include automatic inclusion in our Members Only mailing list, Members Newsletters, discounts we negotiate year round for members, giveaways, discounted special events, and more as we can secure them. You are also assured that at Sakura-Con, as members, you will not be charged for programming such as concerts, theaters or even guest autographs! Finally, General Members can nominate in our elections, if they so desire. In this way, Sakura-Con is truly always “by fans and for fans” along with our nonprofit mission.

Please read the rest of this FAQ, our Member Policies, and, if you are a minor or bringing minors to the convention, our Minors’ Policy.

If you have any further questions, or would like more information or clarification on anything, please email Registration and we would be happy to assist you!

We look forward to seeing you at the convention!
