Ratings

The Sakura-Con ratings system provides an informal unified guide to age ratings for both live events and video programming. Please be advised that the ratings guide is an informal means to assist in making informed decisions but, as is the case with any live performance, we cannot guarantee the ratings will always be strictly adhered to. If you have a concern during the convention, please visit the Convention Office in room 201 and we will be happy to address your concern.

SC-EC – Panels rated SC-EC (Early Childhood) have content that may be suitable for persons ages 3 and older. Titles in this category contain no material that parents would find inappropriate.

SC-All – Panels rated SC-All (All) have content that may be suitable for persons ages 6 and older. Titles in this category may contain minimal cartoon, fantasy, or mild violence.

SC-10 – Panels rated SC-10 (Everyone 10 and older) have content that may be suitable for persons ages 10 and older. Panels in this category may contain more cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language, and/or minimal suggestive themes.

SC-13 – Panels rated SC-13 (Teen) have content that may be suitable for ages 13 and older. Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, and/or infrequent use of strong language.

SC-MA – Panels rated SC-MA (Mature) have content that may be suitable for persons 18 years and older. Panels in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content, and/or strong language.

A note on SC-MA: This still does not provide for explicit nudity or sexual content, it mainly emphasizes mature themes and allows for more graphic violence and harsher language. Sakura-Con will not have hentai/yaoi/yuri at the convention except in discussion or reference.
