The Masquerade Ball needs Hosts!
The success of Sakura Con’s Masquerade Ball is dependent on its enthusiastic Dance Hosts and Hostesses. The Masquerade Events Staff is looking for 10-15 energetic, outgoing people who have a desire to contribute to Sakura Con’s 2013 Masquerade Ball: Wide Awake in Dreamland.
Role and Responsibilities:
Engage attendees at the ball
Seek out and dance with shy/timid ball attendees
Assist Masquerade Events Staff during the “Learn to Dance” panel
Participate in Masquerade Ball planning and execution as asked by Masquerade Events Staff
Qualifications:
Ability to facilitate an inviting environment for attendees of the ball.
Able to coordinate with Sakura-Con Masquerade Events Staff within the Seattle Area
Able to follow instructions as set forth by Masquerade Events Staff
Able to abide Masquerade Ball Dress Codes and policies
Dance experience is preferable but not necessary
At least 18 years old by March 29, 2013
If you are interested in contributing to Sakura Con’s Premier formal event please send an application to masquerade@sakuracon.org answering the following questions attached as a Word Document Compatible with Microsoft Word 2003:

Why do you want to be a dance host/hostess?
How do you think you can contribute to the masquerade ball?
What experience do you have with the masquerade ball? What did you like and dislike and what would you change?
Do you have dance experience, ballroom or otherwise?
Are you planning to attend in Cosplay or formal attire? (Please note that all cosplay must follow masquerade ball dress code)
Are there any events traditionally scheduled on Friday Evening (3/29/2013) that you are planning to attend that may interfere with the ball or the dance panel (i.e. AMV, J-pop concerts etc.)
Please submit applications to masquerade@sakuracon.org by 11:59 pm PST, February 14, 2012. Applicants will be chosen on a rolling basis so please submit applications as early as you can.
