The 2018 Sakura-Con Mascot Contest has extended its deadline and is still open for submissions through April 2nd! The top three art submissions will receive complimentary membership for 2018, their art being displayed throughout the 2018 convention year, and other exclusive perks! Sakura-Con is proud to welcome back Christopher Patton in honor of our 20th Anniversary year! Chris Patton has been Voice Acting for 18 years. His credits include over 250 Anime titles, including projects for ADV Films, Funimation Entertainment, and more.

Mr. Machii holds a number of Guiness World Records, including “Most cuts to one mat (suegiri)”, “Fastest 1,000 sword cuts”, and “Fastest tennis ball (820 km/hr) cut by sword”. Mr. Machii will be sharing his experience and expertise as a sword master at Sakura-Con!

Sakura-Con 2017 presents designer Kenichi Sonoda as a Guest of Honor! He best known as the character designer for the Bubblegum Crash/Bubblegum Crisis series, as well as the designs for Gall Force, Otaku no Video, and Riding Bean.

Sakura-Con is pleased to announce Hiroshi Nagahama, celebrated animator, designer and director, as a 2017 guest of honor! US fans may know him best as the Director of Mushishi, the Assistant Director of Fruits Basket, and many more.
